Gwangju Art Station

Digital experiential spatial design for kids

This project aimed to promote cultural and tourism experience in Gwangju, by children's spatial design. The title, 'Art Station', means that the underground shopping mall of Geumnam subway station in Gwangju has been transformed into a platform where kids can experience artistic digital media contents such as AI and media art.

It was in cooperation with SIGONG tech, a company specializing in exhibitions, culture and interior design.

Geumnamno Station is a subway station on the Gwangju Metro Line 1 in Geumnam-ro 4-ga, Dong-gu, Gwangju, South Korea.

It is a historical place where the Gwangju 5.18 democratization movement took place, and it has the largest number of users on the Gwangju Urban Railroad because it is located in a representative downtown area of Gwangju City.
